Skippers Fish Camp Oyster Bar & Grill

When you are staying in Darien, you will want to taste the local catch. Skippers Fish Camp Oyster Bar & Grill is the absolute best in casual seafood dining in the area, and is conveniently located at 85 Screven Street near Waterfront Park. When you arrive, you will be greeted in the entryway by an 11-foot alligator (stuffed and mounted of course).

Sensational, Freshly-Caught Seafood

Stop by the oyster bar for happy hour for a quick drink if you're on the go. While there, you can get fresh oysters raw on the half shell or cooked in half a dozen other ways.

This popular dining spot is lucky enough to have the local shrimp fleet docks right at their backdoor. So, they are continuously provided with a supply of freshly-caught local seafood including Sweet Georgia Shrimp. Could it get any better than that?

Something for Everyone,
Plus Southern Charm

Be adventurous and try unique dishes laced with southern charm such as Buffalo Gator Tail - available as an appetizer for $11.99. If that's not your thing, then grab an old-fashioned cheese burger for $12.99, smoked bbq chicken for $15.99, or an 8 oz filet mignon for $27.99. There are plenty of tasty options on their seafood menu including the sweet georgia shrimp platter for $25.99.

Skippers Fish Camp is open for dine-in, outdoor seating and take out daily from 11am to 9pm. Call them at 912-437-3474 to check availability during your visit to Darien.

Skipper’s overlooks the beautiful Darien waterfront. We watched a beautiful sunset from the bar side porch. We shared the spicey grilled shrimp and an order of homemade onion rings. Our only regret is that we did not visit Skipper’s a second time during our short three day visit. We highly recommend both the shrimp, the onion rings, the staff, and atmosphere of Skipper’s.

Went to Skipper's Fish Camp for an eat and greet among family. We were able to meet on the covered deck so there was plenty of room to distance us from others. The food and service was very good and we never felt rushed to get through. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. We will return on our next trip there.

We were passing through on Hwy 17 and pulled up the reviews on TripAdvisor. Spot on! I had the large shrimp dinner and my husband had the seafood platter. Large portions cooked perfectly. Not a long wait and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Overnight stop in Darien on the way back home. We found Skippers! The food, atmosphere, ad staff were fantastic! We felt comfortable inside and appeared the tables were spaced and staff were wearing masks. We will return when we are back in the area!

My husband and I both had a really good extra blackened mahi sandwich. The mahi was fresh caught. I had to the best onion rings and our waiter was excellent. I highly recommend stopping at this restaurant.
